A hatalmas s\u00edrkert 301 parcell\u00e1ra oszlik, \u00e9s becsl\u00e9sek szerint k\u00f6zel h\u00e1rommilli\u00f3 elhunyt sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra ny\u00fajt v\u00e9gs\u0151 nyughelyet. T\u00f6rt\u00e9nete eg\u00e9szen 1886-ig ny\u00falik vissza, amikor az els\u0151 gy\u00e1szszertart\u00e1st k\u00f6vet\u0151en itt helyezt\u00e9k \u00f6r\u00f6k nyugalomra az els\u0151 elhunytat. The entrance building complex was created based on the plans of \u00c1rmin Heged\u0171s, the sculptural decorations are the work of G\u00e9za Mar\u00f3ti, and the mosaics visible on the facade originate from the famous workshop of Miksa R\u00f3th. In the early 1900s, the characteristic niche-style burial vaults bearing Italian stylistic features were built, lending a special atmosphere to the cemetery. The mortuary and cold storage facility were completed in the 1920s based on the plans of S\u00e1ndor Wossola, meeting the funeral needs of the era. The area also contains two military plots where fallen heroes from more than forty nations rest, and it was once regarded as Europe's second largest military cemetery. Its historical significance is further enhanced by the fact that victims of the reprisals following the 1956 revolution, including Prime Minister Imre Nagy, were buried here in plot 301.\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funeral services and options<\/h3>\n\n\n\nIn addition to traditional burial in the ground, the cemetery also offers urn burial and the leasing of grave sites. Mortuary and cold storage services assist relatives in bidding a dignified farewell. The first crematorium opened in 1968, and in 2006 the section called Urna Pantheon was handed over, providing a resting place for urns in a special, crypt-like arrangement. The cemetery also contains the graves of numerous famous and historical figures, which further underscores its cultural significance. Accurate orientation is essential for visitors, and knowledge of the plot and row numbers is necessary to locate grave sites. The cemetery management is committed to the care of the burial grounds, the preservation of traditions, and the proper information of visitors. The maintenance of this memorial site and the provision of services contribute to ensuring that mourners can remember their loved ones in peaceful circumstances. The area's infrastructure and spacious road network allow for the comfortable reception and parking of large numbers of visitors.
